Joomla! is shooting for the stars….
We began the year with the new six-month release cycle that started with the delivery of Joomla 1.6 last January, and Joomla 2.5 Beta 1 was just made available for download. The biggest visual change was the new look for Joomla, led by Kyle Ledbetter and his team of designers and masterminds of code.
We will hold the first Joomla World Conference this November 16-18, 2012. This is a great opportunity for the Joomla community to come together to meet, learn and network. We are very grateful to eBay for their sponsorship and use of their facilities in San Jose, California.
Closer to home, the JCM was honored with not one, but two JOSCARs at JAB11. Our readership has grown steadily since our launch in July 2010, and in December 2011, we had our 2,000th published JCM comment. We’re about 30 articles away from 400 JCM articles, and last month we hit our all time high of 28 articles published.
Our vision for 2012 is to expand the JCM team and to develop the format and content to better suit the community. We welcome our newest team members who are stepping up to take on roles such as webmasters, designers, marketers, illustrators, editors/authors and we ask you to join us! Joomla is a worldwide community and the JCM is the community’s voice; written by you, for you and about you. Your participation is what makes it a success! Thank you to all and best wishes to you and yours for a healthy, prosperous new year!
