Make your Blog look more personal in Google search results
If you’re a blogger and own a blog, you can make your content look more personal in Google search results and, in turn, adding more value to what you sell or preach.
Here’s how it works: It’s, kind of, adding a face to your brand. You can give your blog a personal touch by linking your blog to your Google+ profile. So when users see your content in Google search results, besides your blog post, they would also see your profile picture, your name, your Google+ circles and the link to your Google+ profile.

Things you need to do: Go to Google Authorship page and Sign Up for Authorship.
Things you should know:
Make sure you enter the email address of the same domain name as is the domain of the website you want your Google+ profile to link to. In case, your email address does not have the same domain as the website one, use this method to link your content: Set up authorship by linking your content to your Google+ profile
Make sure each of your post has “by [Author Name]” byline.
Make sure your Google+ Profile name is same as the [Author Name] on your blog posts.
